Only after I reverted back to a one router no access point system did it fully connect. I found using a Netgear Wireless router as a Access Point it would not establish a IP address with the Belkin. I have read other complaints that it quits after a few months or frequent connection issues. You really have to be close to the router and have no walls in between it and the router. This is certainly not a log range device.

I happened to have one so I no longer have that problem. If you don't want to cover up the adjacent USB ports you need an extender cable. It was easy to install for me, I use this on my laptop, desktop, and a few times on a friends computer, and it was always easy to install. When I lived else were it was the same way, good strong signal. My room is underground and there are walls between me and the combined router & modem. I don't have the problems the others talk about. Pros: I love this device, I have had this for two years now and it does as it is advertized.
